Amanda Ngọc Nguyễn is a civil rights activist, astronaut, and founder of RISE, a non-governmental civil rights organization that works to implement a sexual assault survivors' bill of rights. In April 2025, she became the first woman of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian heritage to ascend to the stars.
